Advocacy for Seniors
The Senior Advocate Coalition meets regularly with
government officals - local, state and federal - to
communicate on issues relevant to older adults
such as transportation, Medicare, Social Security,
health care cost and creating elder friendly
communities.
Senior Advocate Coalition Meeting:
Time: 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Location: Training Center at Tanglewood Park

April 12, 2010: Meet with Federal Congressional Aides
May 10, 2010:Meet with State Senators / Representatives
Thursday, June 10, 2010 - Older Michiganian Day:Held in Lansing on the State Capitol lawn for 11AM - 1PM with an opportunity to visit our local Legislators in their offices.
July - August, 2010: Meet with Legislators / Congressional members in the region
September 13, 2010:Meet with State Senators / Representatives and Federal Congressional Aides
October 11, 2010:Meet with State Senators / Representatives
November 8, 2010:Optional Meeting depending on what is happening
December 2010 - January, 2011: No meeting - Holiday Recess
